But there is something else that also amazes us? It’s those young donors who forgo receiving birthday presents to help NMET’s organization. A young child’s birthday is a big deal. The thought of opening presents dances in their heads all year. And when that day arrives, they decide presents are not as important as giving to an organization that helps kids and adults with special needs.
For two years, Wade Leist’s daughters, Morgan, and Katie, have raised enough from their birthdays alone to fund many therapy sessions. Because of their donations their names are now proudly displayed on NMET’s “high donor tree” in the facility.
What an awesome feeling to see the expressed pride of an 8 or 10-year-old handing over something they are so proud of receiving, but more importantly, so proud of giving. They know the love and passion they have for horses in their lives is something that can help those that need this feeling in theirs.
NMET cannot thank you enough for what you do for this facility and those in need within the community.
